Certifications | Final exam retake policy
To protect the integrity of the exams, ITC requires a 30-day waiting period between retakes.
How many times can I retake the certification final exam?
If you do not pass on your first attempt, you may retake the exam after a 30-day waiting period. There is no limit to the number of attempts while your certification access remains active. Once you pass, the exam is complete and cannot be retaken.
Do I have to pay extra to retake a certification final exam?
There is no additional fee to retake the exam while your certification access is active and you observe the required waiting period between attempts.
What happens if I cannot complete a final exam due to technical issues?
If technical issues occur (platform error, computer crash, or internet disruption), you may be exempt from the 30-day waiting period between retakes. However, if all exam questions were submitted, the exemption will not apply, as exam progress is tracked by the platform.
